3 day Excursion Itinerary : From Errachidia to Marrakech

Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert


Start your journey from Errachidia, heading towards the picturesque Ziz Valley, famous for its towering palm groves and fortified villages. Stop for panoramic views before continuing to Merzouga.

Upon arrival, switch to camels for a sunset trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Reach your desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional Moroccan mint tea. Enjoy a delicious Berber dinner under the starry sky, followed by live drumming and a campfire experience.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley


Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. After breakfast, depart towards the impressive Todra Gorge, known for its towering rock walls that reach 300 meters high. Explore the canyon, then continue to the Dades Valley, passing through Berber villages and scenic landscapes.

Arrive in Dades Gorge, where you’ll explore the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations and the winding road of Tissadrine. Check into a local guesthouse, enjoy a traditional dinner, and relax in the peaceful valley.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, drive through the Rose Valley, famous for its annual Rose Festival. Pass through the Skoura palm groves before arriving at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah that has served as a filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

After exploring the fortified village, enjoy lunch before crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. Admire breathtaking mountain views before descending into Marrakech, where your journey concludes in the evening.
